However, a 57.68% of this population, live out of the indigenous territories such as coffee, banana and pineapple plantation areas or in the principal cities of the country and have lost their cultural roots because of the social, economic and political inequalities.

That is why, the Fundación para la Vivienda Rural Costa Rica-Canadá has been concerned in avoiding their migration, and is promoting the attachment to their territories by offering housing solutions with construction designs that takes into account the social and cultural characteristics of each of the groups. We can find wood constructions and in some cases it has been used a mixture of wood and cement with a construction of 65 square meter , with two bedrooms, and a social area; the kitchen and the toilet are located out of the house according to their costumes.

We can see from the above our commitment to offer progress and development, satisfaction and quality of life to all the costarican families, without taking in account the gender, race, social and economical level.
